Obituary

Nettie Geneva Young Pool, daughter of the late James Raymond Young and Melzelda Trotter Young, was born January 9, 1916 in Ava, Illinois. She departed this life January 26, 2013 at her home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 97 years and 17 days. She was united in marriage to Russell Pool on January 18, 1934 and to this union eleven children were born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, niece, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by four sons and four daughters-in-law: Chester and Patricia Pool of Dolph, Carl and Debbie Pool of Calico Rock, Joseph and Mary Pool of Bakersfield, Missouri, and Michael and Patsy Pool of Norfork; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Alta M. Wise of Calico Rock, Nona Ruth Bolinger of Springfield, Missouri, Reba and Jack Anderson of Pineville, and Nettie Jane and Dwaine Tabor of Theodosia, Missouri; 25 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sons: Franklin Pool, James Pool and Stephen Pool; four sisters; three brothers; one grandson: Charlie Bolinger and one great grandson: Jasper Pool.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Ray Lamb officiating. Burial will be at Katy Cemetery in Culp, Arkansas under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29 from 6-8 p.m.
