Wonna Jean Burgess Guthrie

of Melbourne, Arkansas

Wonna Jean Burgess Guthrie, daughter of the late Herman Eldred Burgess and Imogene Owens Burgess, was born September 24, 1952 in Batesville, Arkansas.  She departed this life April 27, 2026 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 73.  She attended school in Mount Pleasant.  After high school, she went on to work at White River Shirt Company in Melbourne and Color Tile Hardwood Flooring.  She was married to Larry Joe Guthrie and together they had one son.  Wonna attended Guion Pentecostal Church and Melbourne Assembly of God.

She is survived by one son:  Brad Guthrie (Leah) of Melbourne; one brother:  Harold Burgess (Marlene) of Mount Pleasant; one sister:  Patty Conyers of Calico Rock; three grandchildren:  Kaylee Ball (Josh) of Melbourne, Brian Selby of Mountain Home, Chad Selby (Courtney) of Searcy; four great grandchildren:  Wesson and Bexleigh Ball, Holly and Hazel Selby and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 granddaughters: Kyla and Kayla Guthrie; maternal grandmother:  Margie Campbell and paternal grandmother:  Ollie Burgess.

Visitation and funeral service will be Thursday, April 30 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m.   Burial will follow at Reeves Cemetery.
