Wilma June Gillihan Ramsey

Of Henderson, Arkansas

Wilma June (Gillihan) Ramsey, 95, of Henderson, Arkansas, passed from this life December 5, 2024 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 95. Wilma was born on December 5, 1929 to Emma Eunice Grimmett Gillihan and Alex Richard Gillihan in Twin Creek, Arkansas.

Wilma was united in marriage to James Edward Ramsey on June 22, 1956, in Melbourne, Arkansas. Wilma never met a stranger and was a friend to all. She took pride in her genealogy research.  During her lifetime she worked at multiple jobs including McDonnell Douglas, which she later retired from. She spent her life as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and a friend to all.

Wilma leaves to mourn her passing; two daughters, Janice Reed of Melbourne, Karen Walker (Roy Knapp) of Henderson; two grandsons: Jamie Ramsey of Melbourne, Shannon Swink of Anniston, Alabama; three step grandchildren: Tammy Barnes and husband Nevin of Henderson, Tim Walker of Mountain Home, Tommy Walker, Jr. of Henderson; one sister-in-law: Ina Ramsey numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband: James Edward Ramsey; her parents: Alex and Eunice Gillihan; two infant baby boys, two brothers: Lloyd Gillihan and Adrian Gillihan; one sister-in-law Ida Gillihan; one grandson Rick Ramsey; two brothers-in-law Dub Ramsey and David Ramsey.

Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, December 9 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.   Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Combs Cemetery.
