Obituary

Willie Clinton Stanley, son of the late Earl Victor Stanley and Martha Joyce Savannah Jones Stanley, was born March 4, 1942 in Calico Rock, Arkansas.  He departed this life November 22, 2020 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 78 years, 8 months, and 18 days.  He was of the Assembly of God faith. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He spent his life doing whatever the hell he wanted to do.  He loved to fish and camp and work around the Shop.  He could pick up a hot coal with his bare hands and throw it back in the stove.  He loved playing poker and dominoes with his friends. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs.   He loved his kids and grandkids and all his nieces and nephews. He always had a big smile and loved a good story.  If you didn't learn something from him, you weren't listening.

He is survived by two children:  Brandon Stanley of Pineville and Lynna Stanley of Calico Rock;  one son-in-law: Del Grady of Mayflower;  one brother: Victor Wayne Stanley and wife Rose of Calico Rock; four sisters:  Ida Flo Forbes and husband Don of Mountain Home, Virginia Dare Duncan and husband Peanut "Goob" of Pamona, Missouri,  Earletta Sue Blankenship and husband Jerry of Calico Rock and Loura Joyce Patterson and husband Billy of Mountain Home; nine grandchildren: Lea Killian, Wesley Lunsford, Josh Lunsford, Jesse Lunsford, Jareb Kasinger, Jenna Stanley, Cainan Stanley, Lainni Stanley and Willie D. Stanley and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; two siblings:  J.R. Stanley and Shirley Ann Stanley;  one daughter:  Shannon Layle Grady; one grandson: Jaben Grady and his former wife: Vera Roselle Owens Stanley.

Visitation will be Friday, November 27 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Funeral service will be Saturday, November 28 at 2 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home with John Steer officiating.  Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
