William Scott Dockins

Of McKenzie, Tennessee

William Scott Dockins, son of Connie Hall Jackson and the late William Melvis Dockins, was born January 21, 1962, in Melbourne, Arkansas. He departed this life on May 15, 2025, at his home in McKenzie, Tennessee at the age of 63. Scott was a 1980 graduate of Melbourne High School. He went on to graduate with a degree in sociology from Arkansas State University.  He spent his career as a lumber grader and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Saint Louis Cardinals.

Scott is survived by his mother, Connie Jackson, and her husband, Leland of Myron; one brother, Wayne Dockins of Wideman; one nephew, Zachary Dockins of Myron; his uncle, James Dockins and his wife, Paulette, of Salem; and a host of loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

Scott's family will be holding a private memorial service, and he will be laid to rest at the Violet Hill Cemetery, Saturday, June 21 at 11: a.m. with Steve Stevenson officiating.
