Willard Verl Pierson, son of the late Autis Pierson and Lou Annah Herron Pierson, was born September 19, 1926 in Franklin, Arkansas. He departed this life on October 8, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 95 years and 19 days. He was united in marriage to Edith Inez Acklin and together they raised two children. Willard spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. During his working years, Willard worked as a machinist for Boeing Aircraft for over 33 years.

Willard is survived by one son, Jimmy Pierson and wife, Beth of Belle Plaine, Kansas; one daughter, Regenia Unrein of Haysville, Kansas; one sister, Barbara Ann Gillihan of Donna, Texas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Clabern Pierson, Drexel Pierson and Vaughn Pierson.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill, Arkansas.
