Warren John Lay

of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas

Warren John Lay, son of the late Warren G. Lay and Josephine Jablonski Lay, was born February 6, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York. He departed this life December 9, 2019 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 3 days. He was united in marriage to Hannah Townsend December 2, 2019. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. He retired from the New York Transit Authority after many years of employment.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Warren Vincent and Geraldine of Hazlet, New Jersey; one sister: Geraldine Margiotta of North Ft. Meyers, Florida; three grandchildren: Warren Lay, Alexander Lay and Clarissa Pittelli and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his beloved dog: Sassy.

The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.
