Troy Eldridge Vannatter, Sr.

Of Jordan, Arkansas

Troy Eldridge Vannatter, Sr., son of the late Buck Vannatter and Ader Sexton Vannatter, was born January 28, 1950 in Marked Tree, Arkansas.  He departed this life January 6, 2024 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 9 days. He was united in marriage to Barbara Haley April 16, 1968 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and together they raised two daughters and a son.  Troy spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.  For over 40 years, he worked as a plumber. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Jordan Baptist Church.

Troy is survived by his wife of 55 years:  Barbara Vannatter of the home; one son: Troy E. Vannatter, Jr. and Donna B of Jordan; two daughters:  Kimberly Gaskin and husband Isac of Gassville and Candy Holt and husband Keith of Blackwell, Oklahoma; two brothers:  Gary Vannatter of Norfork and Larry Vannatter of Mountain Home; two sisters:  Shirley Tunnicliff of Optimus and Edna Luster of Jordan; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers:  Ira "Tiny" Vannatter and Carl B. Vannatter and two sisters:  Dessie Carroll and Wilma Galloway.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 11 from 4-6 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. No funeral service will be held.
