Troy Dwayne Harper
Of Franklin, Arkansas

Troy Dwayne Harper, son of the late John Lee Harper and Ola Lavena Hightower Harper, was
born November 22, 1950 in Manila, Arkansas. He departed this life January 7, 2023 in Little
Rock, Arkansas at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 16 days. He proudly served in the United
States Army in 1972. Troy spent his life as a loving, son, brother, father, grandfather, great
grandfather, companion, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent as an
independent contractor and heavy equipment operator. He was of the Baptist faith.


He is survived by three daughters: Michelle Meeker and husband Clint of Imboden, Amy Love
and husband Blake of Viola, Wanda Harper of Franklin; one sister: Lois VanCleave and
husband Jim of Franklin; five grandchildren: Maddlyn (Justin) Barnett, Ashlyn Meeker,
Christian Meeker, Blaine (Hannah) Norris, Peyton Love; three great grandchildren: Zari Barnett,
Harlin Barnett and Kailynn Norris; one sister-in-law: Linda Harper of Los Fresnos, Texas;
beloved companion of 19 years: Judith Hollowell of Guion and a host of other relatives and
many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Billy Harper.
Troy took great pride in his construction work and loved his 3 girls unconditionally. He was
known for his kindness, humble demeanor, contagious smile and beautiful blue eyes leaving a
lasting impression on all that knew him. He will be greatly missed.


Memorial service will be Wednesday, January 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Franklin Baptist Church with
Johnny Conyers officiating.
