Obituary

Sweet…that is the word people always say about Tracey. That's a big word in today's world. Many people forget to be sweet and kind, but not Tracey. She was the ultimate encourager.

Tracey's highest values were her faith and her family. She did not just talk about commitment to family, she lived it out in her everyday life. Tracey believed in nurturing family to the very depth of her soul. She stayed true to loving and helping Jeremy grow to be a fine young adult and she loved Justin fiercely. Her greatest joy turned into supporting her sons and their wives as those two grew their own families. It truly is a legacy that she will have forever, finding joy through building her family. She was committed to her dad and Sonja, her siblings and their spouses, and her nieces and nephews as well.

Tracey was multi-dimensional. Her son described her best this week when he said she was humble and classy, a good Christian. She was also wise, her sisters and others going to her often for sage counsel and a good laugh. She was a bit stubborn (in a good way) and sometimes mischevous. She loved junkin' and antiquing with Sonja and others, coffee moments with friends and her siblings, and she was an incredible cook. Her knowledge of natural healing was well known by those who sought her counsel.

Her dad was always pleased that while growing up, Tracey was strong as an ox. She could lift anything, catch on quickly, and do things the way he liked them done. High praise from Dale Finley. She could also become the most consummate of ladies, tapping into her love of fashion along with loyally serving others. She was intentional about not judging people, believing that we needed to learn people's stories to better understand why they might behave the way they did.

Tracey's faith and her belief in Jesus was strong! She often said, "I trust in Jesus" when times would become challenging. She was a Faith Bible Institute scholar and worked hard for the church and Light in the 1040 Window. She often quoted scripture and helped sort through life with others through illuminating Biblical principles.

She was a protector, a fierce advocate for those she loved, compassionate and someone held dear by so many. We will miss our sweet Tracey, but rejoice in knowing that we will see her again.
