Thomas Norman Hargett

Of Violet Hill, Arkansas

Thomas Norman Hargett, son of Judy McKee Hargett and the late Mitch Hargett, was born October 16, 1972 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. He departed this life January 13, 2021 at his home in Violet Hill, Arkansas at the age of 48 years, 2 months and 28 days. He was a lifelong resident of Izard County. Tommy was united in marriage to Jo Smith August 7, 1993 in Dolph, Arkansas and together they raised two daughters. At the time of his death he had been employed by Eaton Corporation in Mountain Home for four years. He was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Rodney Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 27 years: Jo Hargett of the home; two daughters: Stacee Hargett of Little Rock and Ana Zirkle and husband Matthew of Violet Hill; his mother: Judy McKee Hargett of Rodney; one brother: Billy Hargett and wife Samantha of Rodney; three sisters: Michelle Marshall of Mountain Home, Melinda Hargett of El Cajon, California and Marsha Tuttle and husband Troy of Rodney; two grandchildren: Christopher Allen Zirkle, II and Charlotte Isabella Zirkle of Violet Hill and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his father and one infant brother, James. Tommy was a great friend to many, a loving husband, and a provider for his family. But he was the best at being a grandpa. He was the hardest working man and would do anything for those he loved. He will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Funeral service will be Sunday, January 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home with Jess Sumrall officiating. Burial will be at Hand Cemetery.
