Terry Huston Gaston

Of Violet Hill, Arkansas

Terry Huston Gaston, son of the late Doyne H. Gaston and Ruth N. Abbott Gaston, was born October 2, 1954 in Batesville, Arkansas.  He departed this life March 8, 2025 in Searcy, Arkansas at the age of 70. Terry was a lifelong resident of Izard County.  He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, stepfather, step grandfather, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent working on area farms, such as Barksdale Chicken Farm, Weaver Chicken Farm and Harber Milking Operation. Terry also traveled to Washington state to work the fruit harvest.  He loved animals, especially horses, dogs and cattle.  Terry was of the Baptist faith and was saved and baptized at the age of thirteen.

Terry is survived by his former wife:  Linda Gaston of Melbourne; his sister:  Sharon Weaver of Violet Hill; three stepchildren:  Tony Conway of Violet Hill, Jamie Roddy and wife Michelle of Newark, Amy Esterbrook and husband Steve of Gentry; 14 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; one niece and two nephews:  Brent Weaver and wife Sebrina of Violet Hill, Tammy Stroud and husband Kendall of Myron and Chris Arnold of Zion and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister:  Kathleen Arnold; two brothers-in-law:  Ray Arnold and Paul Weaver and one step grandson:  Douglas Arnold.

Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, March 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Violet Hill Cemetery with Randy Bailey officiating under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Pallbearers:  Brent Weaver, Jackie Campbell, Curtis Billingsley, Jonathan Gilbreath, Steve Bates, Kendall Stroud.

Honorary Pallbearers:  L. D. Searcy, Jack Campbell, Tony Conway, Jamie Roddy, Jake Conway and Ty Stroud.
