Terry Ray Engles

Of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas

Terry Ray Engles, son of the late Vernon Ray "Hop" Engles and Estel Bernice Shaver Engles, was born April 20, 1953 in Guion, Arkansas.  He departed this life February 4, 2023 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 15 days. Terry was united in marriage to Sharron Gail Freeman June 16, 1978 in Batesville and together they raised two children.  Terry spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, provider and friend.  Terry found his calling early in life after working alongside of his father, he learned how to build and repair diesel engines. At the time of his death, he was the owner and operator of Engles Diesel Service.

Terry leaves to mourn his passing; one son:  Jason Engles and wife Katie of Mount Pleasant; one daughter:  Amanda Moon and husband Dakota of Mount Pleasant; six siblings:  Rick (Theresa) Engles of Mount Pleasant, Danny (Diana) Engles of Gid, Barry (Carolyn) Engles of Guion, Tim Engles of Gid, Beverly (Roy) Guiltner of Melbourne, Rhonda Engles of Guion;  five grandchildren:  Faith, Landon, Jason II, Lily and Halle Engles; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and one brother:  Kim Engles.

Visitation and funeral service will be Thursday, February 9 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Reeves Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Ricky Engles, Rick Engles, Logan Engles, Dakota Moon, Barry Engles and Bobby Johnson, Tim Engles, Dan Engles.
