Obituary

Terry Ashley "Ash" Brown

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Terry Ashley "Ash" Brown, son of the late Johnny Brown and Mary Carol Cooley Brown, was born June 26, 1982 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He departed this life February 27, 2024 in Robstown, Texas at the age of 41 years, 8 months and 1 day.  Ash "Downtown" was a 2000 graduate of Calico Rock High School.  He was united in marriage to Amy Gibson September 29, 2003 and together they raised a family.  At the time of his death, he was working as a boilermaker. He was of the Christian faith.

Ash is survived by his wife of 20 years:  Amy Brown of the home; one son:  Jesse Logan Harber and wife Bella of Jordan; four daughters:  Savannah Chase Harber of Mountain Home, Carolina Grace Brown, Annabelle Ashlynn Leigh Brown and Georgia June May Brown all of the home; one sister:  Sherry Marie Vest of Melbourne; three grandchildren:  Arrow May Grace Harber, Wilder Eric Clyde Harber and Bowie Isla Love Harber; paternal grandmother:  Eva Lovett of Calico Rock; mother-in-law:  Dena Gibson of Calico Rock; nieces:  Ella Rae Vest, Hannah Marie Vest all of Melbourne and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandfather:  Walter B. Brown; maternal grandparents:  Joe and Anna Mae Cooley and his father-in-law:  Kenneth Gibson.

After his parents passed, Ash was raised as a son of his Aunt Marilyn Cooley, Uncle Larry Cooley, alongside brothers Wade Cooley and Wes Cooley.

Downtown loved his family more than himself; to build a life for them, he chased turn arounds, and turned wrenches for over 20 years. If you asked him, he would say is wife was his hobby.  He loved music, his Harley and grilling for his friends and family.  He had a huge heart and his children and grandbabies were his world. If you needed something, he'd do what it took to make it happen. His life's goal was to make it to the rocking chair days with Amy and watch the kids and grandkids run around the yard and look at his garden. We will be down here marking time until we get to see him again.
