Susan Marie Tatum Schulte

Of West Orange, Texas

Susan Marie Tatum Schulte, daughter of the late Winifred Lee Tatum and Betty Virginia Koonce Tatum, was born February 4, 1958in Norwalk, California. She departed this life September 13, 2020 in Saint Amant, Louisiana at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 9 days. She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Schulte and together they raised two daughters. Susan spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. Most of her working years were spent as a security guard with Allied Universal Services in Beaumont, Texas. She was a member of Community Church of Orange, Texas.

Susan is survived by her husband: Robert Lee Schulte of the home; three daughters: Kristen Penn and husband Kenneth of Vidor, Texas and April Burgess and husband Dustin of Saint Amant, Louisiana and Rebecca Schulte and fiancé Race Dearbonne both of Bridge City, Texas; one brother: Johnny Tatum and wife Judy of Memphis, Tennessee; three sisters: Lois Taylor of Melbourne, Cheryl McClure and husband Chris of Okemah, Oklahoma and Vickey Winkle and husband Charles of Mount Pleasant; six grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved and prayed for. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law: Darryl Taylor.

Graveside funeral service will be held Friday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Barren Fork Cemetery with Alan Meinzer officiating under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
