Sonia Joy Tatro

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Sonia Joy Tatro, daughter of the late Roy George Samuels and Mavis Robinson Samuels, was born November 6, 1959 in Kingston, Jamica.  She departed this life February 6, 2024 at her home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 64.  She was united in marriage to Anthony Tatro in New York July 28, 1990 and together they raised one daughter.  Sonia spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, homemaker and friend.  While living in Melbourne, she was employed as a CNA at Pioneer and Cave City Nursing Homes.  She was a member of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Melbourne.

Sonia is survived by her husband of 33 years:  Anthony Tatro of the home; one daughter:  Charlie Crockett Tatro of Washington; nine siblings:  Yvonne Jarrett, Janet Cole, Adrene Hogan, Roger Samuels, Dawn McDonald, Sandra Samuels, Rozanne Taylor, Gary Samuels and Garfield Samuels; nine nieces and nephews:  Nicholas Jarrett, Natalie Jarrett, Christopher Jarrett, Damion Brown, Kraig Cole, Kelsy Cole, Mica Samuels, Shadeen Samuels, R. J. Samuels; two aunts:  Daphne Moms and Aggney Jackson; many dear cousins and a host of other relative and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
