Shire Ann Haley

Of Zion, Arkansas

Shire Ann Haley, daughter of the late George Robert Malone and Nettie Mae Lillard Malone, was born January 21, 1944 in Harrisburg, Arkansas. She departed this life January 11, 2020 at her home in Zion, Arkansas at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 21 days. She was united in marriage to Danny Boyce Haley June 17, 1962 and together they raised two children. Ann spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.   Throughout her working years, Ann was the postmaster at Zion, she was a cook for the Izard County Sheriff's Office. She also was a river boat cook for many years. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Zion.

Ann is survived by two children: Karin Brown and husband Keith of Zion and Chris Haley and wife Karen of Calico Rock; one sister: Carolyn Faye Cole and husband Sonny of Sidney; one brother: Bill Malone and wife Patsy of Cave City; three grandchildren: Hannah Brown of Zion, Jonathon Brown and wife Sara of Mountain Home and Daniel Haley of Calico Rock; one great grandson: Brayden Brown; two sisters-in-law: Sharon Malone (Leon) of Minier, Illinois, Cathy Sharp (Mike) of Evening Shade and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one brother: David Leon Malone.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
