Shelby LiAn May Cagle

Shelby LiAn May Cagle, daughter of Steven Shelby May and April LiAn James Minge, was born August 13, 1991 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She departed this life November 16, 2023 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 32 years, 2 months and 28 days. Shelby was a 2009 graduate of Norfork High School. She went on to attend Ozarka College and earn a degree in nursing. Shelby spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, wife, mother, aunt, nurse and friend. She was united in marriage to Joshua Nathaniel Cagle May 26, 2018 in Mountain View, Missouri and together they had one son. Shelby was of the Baptist faith and a member of Dolph Baptist Church.
Shelby is survived by her husband of five years: Joshua Cagle of the home; one daughter: Madisyn Jayde Freeman of the home; one son: Myles Shelby Cagle of the home; two stepsons: Brycen Cagle and Bentley Cagle of Calico Rock; her father and stepmother: Steven and Paula May of Norfork; her mother: April Minge of Mountain Home; one brother: Hayden Minge of Mountain Home; two sisters: Jordan Sanders and husband James of Dolph and Kailey Minge of Mountain Home; two nephews and one niece: Ryker Stephen, Rynleigh Sanders, Jack Sanders; her maternal grandmother: Glenda James of Dolph and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: James H and Gladys May; her maternal grandfather: Rex James; her stepfather: Terry Minge and two paternal uncles: Ronnie May and Tony May.
Graveside funeral service will be Friday, November, 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Staggs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock with Raymon Carneal officiating. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Calico Rock following the service from 3-5:00 p.m.
Pallbearers: Jacob May, James May, James Sanders, Hayden Minge, Ben Ashcraft, Brian James.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
