Sharon Lynn Huffman Barnes

Of Wideman, Arkansas

Sharon Lynn Huffman Barnes, daughter of the late Lewis Ethan Huffman, Jr and Alice Lorraine Trader Huffman, was born December 1, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas.  She departed this life January 3, 2021 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 2 days.  She was united in marriage to Roy D. Barnes November 5, 1971 and together they raised two children.  Sharon spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, homemaker and friend.  At the time of her death she was employed by the United States Postal Service as the postmaster of Dolph.  She was a member of the Hebron Community Church in Bexar.

Sharon is survived by two children:  Linette Wright and husband Michael  and Alan Barnes and wife Sara all of Oxford; two brothers:  Ronnie Huffman and wife Carmen of Springfield, Missouri and Larry Huffman and wife Karen of Protem, Missouri; two grandchildren:  Emily Barnes and Jordan Wright; her brother and sister in laws:  Helen and Kenneth Vest of Melbourne, Mary and Dennis Hiles of Brockwell and Earl and Renee Barnes of Brockwell; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister:  Diane King; one brother:  Gary Huffman; her father and mother-in-law:  Lindel and Lora Bell Barnes.

Graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, January 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Wideman Cemetery with Kenneth Vest officiating.
