Samantha Elizabeth Pike Blankenship
Of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Samantha Elizabeth Pike Blankenship, daughter of Linda Giroux Pike Pringle and the late Everett Franklin Pike, was born April 7, 1973 in Skowhegan, Maine. She departed this life June 28, 2024 at her home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 51 years, 2 months and 11 days. She was united in marriage to Mark Blankenship August 17, 2001 and together they raised three children. Samantha spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. Samantha worked as a Registered Nurse in various capacities, including as Director of Nursing at local care facilities in the area. She was also employed at the North Central Unit Correctional Facility in Calico Rock, Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Fulton County Hospital in Salem, and at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Union Baptist Church.
Samantha is survived by her husband of 22 years: Mark Blankenship of the home; three children: Leah Blankenship Hise of Paragould, Matthew (Dore) Blankenship and wife Savannah of Oxford and Heather Brie Blankenship of Calico Rock; her mother Linda Pringle of Wiseman; three siblings: Christine Stephens and husband Douglas of Horseshoe Bend, Andrea Pringle of Hawaii and Daniel Pringle of Hawaii; three grandchildren: Braxton Myles Blankenship, Brycen James Blankenship and Kingston Nathanial-Lee Hise; one sister-in-law: Penny Clark of Lonoke; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her father; one brother: Joseph Victor Pike; her stepfather: Joe Pringle; her mother and father-in-law: Floyd and Sandra Blankenship and her brother-in-law: Derwin Clark.
Visitation and funeral service will be Friday July 5 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dustin Clark, Justin Spears, Danny Calvert, Douglas Stephens, Alexander West and Jacob Stone.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jeana Bell, Lesa Owens, Keith Lamb.
