Normal Ruth Vest Campbell

Normal Ruth Vest Campbell, daughter of the late Earthel Vest and Mamie Rush Vest, was born February 7, 1929 in Melbourne, Arkansas. She departed this life September 20, 2019 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 13 days. She was united to Edward Charles "Speedy" Campbell December 25, 1953 and together they raised two children. Ruth spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she worked as a seamstress. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Melbourne First Baptist Church.

Ruth is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: James and Ginger Campbell of Memphis, Tennessee; one daughter: Karen Campbell of Melbourne; four brothers: Eldon Vest (Kathleen) of Rogers, J. W. Vest (Alice), Ellis Vest (Betty), Kenneth Vest (Helen) all of Melbourne; five grandchildren: Harmony Wood, Jennifer Quearry, Travis McGraw, Nicole Rickey, Cody Rush; ten great grandchildren: Sadi Miller, Hope Faulkner, Edward Rush, Autumn Quearry, Teiler McGraw, Ethan Rush, Nathaniel McGraw, Lauren Stills, Eli Rush, Emmett Rush; one great granddaughter on the way; one great great granddaughter: Brooklyn Miller and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother: Emmett Vest; one sister: Ina Faye Vest; one grandson: Jesse James Campbell.

Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, September 23, 2019 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation begins at 12:00 p.m. Funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Rick Dowdle, Denny Elrod, Jason Brown, Marvin Weatherspoon, Junior Stills, Anthony Wallis.
