Obituary

Ruby Nell Mabry Garner, daughter of the late Thurman Jewel Mabry and Olgia Avanell Hass Mabry, was born December 12, 1941 in Plainview, Arkansas. She departed this life July 22, 2026 at her home in White Hall, Arkansas at the age of 84.


She attended Dumas High School. She was united in marriage to FoyE Garner January 14, 1961 in Los Angeles, California and together they raised three children.


Ruby spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Most of her working years were spent working at Pine Bluff Kmart in the Deli, retiring after many years of employment. After leaving Kmart, she went to work at Family Dollar, retiring after 15 years of employment. She was of the Church of Christ faith.


She loved to travel and to organize many family gatherings. Cooking was her ultimate passion.


Ruby is survived by one son: Jeffrey Garner and wife Christy of White Hall, AR; three grandchildren: Jeffrey Garner, Joshua Garner, Christian Titsworth; six great grandchildren: Silas Garner, Sawyer Garner, Samuel Garner, Selena Garner, Brooklyn Garner, and Katherine Titsworth. One stepdaughter Suzanne Hawley and husband Bill of Lake Elsinore, CA; step daughter-in-law Michelle Garner of Marietta, CA; Nine step-grandchildren:  Patty, Jimmy, David, Clint Wyatt, Shauna, Lacy, Hayley, and Carly; nineteen step-great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many good friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents Thurman and Olgia, her husband Foy, her stepson Nathan Garner, four siblings: Doyle Mabry, Jewel Bladen, Carolyn Harris, Imogene Farrer; and grandson: Clint Hawley.


Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m. At 11:00 a.m. the procession will leave the funeral home for burial at New Liberty Cemetery in Larkin, Arkansas.
