Royce June Jenkins Owens

of Violet Hill, Arkansas

Royce June Jenkins Owens, daughter of the late Guy Jenkins and Eva George Jenkins, was born August 12, 1937 in Calico Rock, Arkansas.  She departed this life February 2, 2026 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 88. She was united in marriage to Raymond Owens September 12, 1954 in Norfork, Arkansas and together they raised two sons.  Royce spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  For 10 years she was employed at Baxter Lab in Mountain Home.  Most of her working years were spent preaching the gospel, since age 14 at numerous churches in our area, Guion, Cotter, Mountain Home and as far away as New York and Kansas City, Missouri. Royce was also a gifted pianist and gave lessons. She was a Pastor of the Guion Pentecostal Church along with her husband.

Royce is survived by her husband of 71 years:  Raymond Owens of the home; two sons:  Timothy Lynn Owens of Jordan, Kenneth Loren Owens and wife Gwen of Calico Rock; one sister:  Bonnie Faye Raley of Louisburg, Kansas; grandchildren:  Talea Pittman (Trevor),, Lindsey Walter (Josh), Shawnda Owens (Thea Clark), Brandy Lester (John), Dusten Owens; great grandchildren:  Josie Radina (Matt Greene), Gillian Lockley (Houston), Tristan Murphy (Katie), Morgan Gooch, Ben Walter, Adalyn Walter, Hazel Walter, Lindley Pittman, Autumn Lester, Allie Pittman, Kyle Lester, Noah Lester; great great grandson:  Grayson Greene; two sisters-in-law:  Janie Jenkins and Diane Jenkins both of Calico Rock and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers:  Danny Guy Jenkins and Terry Jenkins and two daughters-in-law:  Dianna Dillinger Owens and Marsha Wallace Owens.

Visitation and funeral service will be Friday, February 6 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Visitation will begin at 12 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Gale Wooten officiating.  Burial will follow at Reeves Cemetery.
