Royce Junior Cooper

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Royce Junior Cooper, son of the late Ardele Cooper and Audie Rush Cooper, was born February 9, 1931 in Melbourne, Arkansas.  He departed this life July 2, 2023 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 92.  He was united in marriage to Marjorie Jones February 9, 1951 in Brockwell, Arkansas and together they raised three children. Royce proudly served two years in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Royce spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent at K B Alloys in Wenatchee, Washington. Royce was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church in Calico Rock.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years:  Marjorie Cooper of Melbourne; two sons:  Nick Cooper and wife Sharon of Wenatchee, Washington, Barry Cooper of Melbourne; one daughter:  Deborah Cooper of Vancouver, Washington; one brother:  Glennis Dale Cooper and wife Pat of East Wenatchee, Washington; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters:  Cleda Cooper and Lucille Thorn and one infant brother:  Larry Wayne Cooper.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, October 18 at Jones Cemetery near Boswell
