Ronny Cleveland Rush

Of Bonetown, Arkansas

Ronny Cleveland Rush, son of the late Burt Cleveland Rush and Mary Leona Thornley Rush, was born May 15, 1953 in Melbourne, Arkansas.  He departed this life May 20, 2023 at his home in Bonetown, Arkansas at the age of 70 years and 5 days.  He was a 1971 graduate of Melbourne High School; he went on to attend Arkansas State University in Beebe. Ronny spent his life as a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, provider and friend.  Ronny retired from Ozarka College Plant Operations Manager after 33 years of employment.  He was also a farmer.  Ronny was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by two daughters:  Leann Tharp and husband Douglas of Batesville; Amy Cheatham and husband Jason of Bonetown; two brothers:  Kevin Rush of Belton, Missouri and Craig Rush and wife Robin of Bonetown; one sister:  Joannie King and husband Jim of Calico Rock; two grandsons:  Edward Rush and Ace Tharp; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren:  Riley Cheatham and Beau Cheatham.

Visitation will be Monday, May 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:  Ozarka College Foundation Fund, P.O. Box 10, Melbourne, Arkansas.
