Ronnie Lex Walker

Of Violet Hill, Arkansas

Ronnie Lex Walker, son of the late Alex Hull Walker and Reba Earlene Sellars Walker, was born August 12 1954 in Batesville, Arkansas.  He went to be with Jesus January 19, 2026 in Cave City, Arkansas at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 7 days.  Ronnie also known as "Hardy" by many of his friends, was a devoted husband, father, and papaw. He spent most of his life working as a mechanic.  Ronnie was employed by Izard County Consolidated School for 16 years as a bus mechanic.  He also worked for the Izard County Road Dept and at Blevins Station for many years.  Ronnie loved to hunt, fish, and ride his trike. Ronnie was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Shiloh Assembly of God church in Brockwell. At the time of his death, Ronnie was a resident at Cave City Nursing Home.  He was loved and admired by the staff, who went out of their way to make him comfortable and treated him like family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Linda Wommack Walker of the home; two sons:  Micah (Ashley) Walker of Violet Hill, Joel (Jennifer) Walker of Melbourne; three grandsons:  Alex, Preston, and Abel Walker; two granddaughters:  Savannah and Jacquelin Walker; one sister:  Patricia (Danny) Felton of Melbourne; a very special niece: Shawnee Pruett; along with several other nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation and funeral service will be Thursday, January 22 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.   Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Leon and Noel Morehead officiating.  Burial will follow at Caney Spring Cemetery in Sage.
