Roger Donald Ducker
Of Mountain Home, Arkansas
Roger Donald Ducker, son of the late Billy Donald Ducker and Kathryn Naomi McClellan Ducker, was born June 22, 1954 in Melbourne, Arkansas. He departed this life January 23, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 1 day. He was united in marriage to Kathryn Ann Killian May 11, 1975, and together they raised two children. Roger spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent as a retail manager and business owner. He was of the Church of Christ faith and a member of Riverside Church of Christ in Gassville.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Kathy Ducker of the home; one son, Aaron Ducker and wife Kim of Henderson; one daughter, Sarah Michelle Ducker of Mountain Home; three brothers, Mike Ducker of Rogers, Tom (Marcia) Ducker of Jonesboro and Steve (Shelley) Ducker of Rogers; one sister, Janie Jenkins of Pineville; five grandchildren: Reece Ducker, Clara Ducker, Cora Ducker, Aiden Setzer and Brenton Setzer; sister-in-law, Sherry Killian of Calico Rock; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Phil Ducker, sister-in-law, Debbie Ducker and a brother-in-law, Danny Jenkins.
Roger loved being in nature whether it was hunting or simply doing yard work. He was an avid bird watcher and could tell the names of the birds that frequented his backyard. He had his wife of almost 48 years spoiled. He adored his kids and grandkids and enjoyed going to their sporting events. Roger loved watching the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, January 28 at Riverside Church of Christ in Gassville. Visitation will be 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Richard Grissum and Eddie Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Pineville Cemetery.
