Robie Lee Graves, son of the late Doc Arnold Graves and Audie Virginia Hensley Graves, was born June 8, 1952 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He departed this life March 20, 2022 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 12 days. Robie proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent as a welder and truck driver. He was an avid fisherman. He was united in marriage to Sandra Taylor on June 16, 1984. He was of the Baptist faith.
Robie is survived by three sons: Rusty Franks and wife Christine of Calico Rock, Jason Graves and wife Lauren of Kansas City, Missouri and Jesse Graves and wife Casey of Mountain Home; one sister: Delores Jane Hamilton of Lawson, Missouri; six grandchildren: Josh Moorehead, Jarrett Moorehead, Shane Hyde, Lauren Graves, Skyla Graves and Audie Graves; four great grandchildren; one son-in-law: Dirk Bauer of Peculiar, Missouri and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers: Floyd Graves Orby Dean Graves and one daughter: Kami Bauer.
Visitation and graveside funeral service will be Friday, March 25. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Melbourne. Graveside funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Combs Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jesse Graves, Rusty Franks, Jason Graves, Shane Taylor, Bob Franks and Charlie Crotts.
