Robert Dale Skidmore

Of Jordan, Arkansas

Robert Dale Skidmore, son of the late Charlie Dale Skidmore and Rachel Leola Faris Skidmore, was born July 22, 1942 in Jordan, Arkansas.  He departed this life October 11, 2021 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 19 days.  He was united in marriage to Marion Lee Farris January 29, 1961 in Norfork, Arkansas and together they raised one son. Robert spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. He served in the United States Army, retiring after twenty-four years of service.  After retiring from the Army, Robert worked as a Boilermaker and later a cattle farmer. He was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Rodney Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years:  Marion Skidmore of the home; one son:  Jerry Skidmore and wife Kim of Dolph; three grandchildren:  Miranda Worthey, Alexander Robert Skidmore and wife Kelly and Savannah Jera Skidmore; three great grandchildren:  Lawson Troy Worthey, Scarlett Blue Stowers and Scotlyn Jera Skidmore; one nephew:  Tony Lee Skidmore and wife Tracie of Floral and their children: Reagan and Cade Skidmore and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents: two infant siblings:  Charlie Dewain Skidmore and Sarah Evyline Skidmore and one brother:  Coy Lee Skidmore.

Visitation and funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 13 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m.   Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m.   Burial will follow at Dolph Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Alex Skidmore, Cecil Woods, Tony Quinn, Frank Tilley, KennyThornton, James Southard.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Homer Bill Sanders, Mike Watts, Savannah Skidmore, Jera Skidmore, Lawson Worthey, Scarlett Stowers, Miranda Worthey and Tony Skidmore.
