Robert Dean Beach

Of Fort Scott, Kansas

Robert Dean Beach, son of the late Harold Beach and Marian Wilcox Beach, was born August 31, 1931 in Independence, Iowa. He departed this life September 5, 2024 in Pittsburg, Kansas at the age of 93 years and 5 days.  Bob proudly served in the United States Navy.  He was united in marriage to Genevieve Akers November 23, 1949 and together they raised four children.  Most of his working years were spent as a pathologist and mortician with Gross Funeral Home in Hot Springs, retiring after twelve years of employment.  After retiring, he worked for the Calico Rock School District in the maintenance department and as a bus driver.

Bob is survived by two children:  Linda Bennett (Don) of WaKeeney, Kansas and Robert Leon Beach (Joan) of Littleton, Colorado; eleven grandchildren: Bobby Beach, Jana Beach Schmit, Jessica Beach Beta (Brian), Belinda Snyder (Ron), Cheril Emerson, Robert Beach, Chris Beach, Eric Bennett (Glenda), Jake Bennett, Adam Ducker (Whitney), Simon Ducker; eighteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son:  Roger Beach and one daughter:  Debra Lynn Ducker; one son-in-law:  Michael Ducker; one infant son:  Anthony Beach and one infant grandson:  Anthony Beach.

Graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Pineville Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Eric Bennett, Jake Bennett, Don Bennett, Ron Snyder, Dusty Rorie, Adam Ducker.

Honorary Pallbearer: Simon Ducker.
