Ritchie Leonard Hanley
of Dolph, Arkansas
Ritchie Leonard Hanley, son of the late Robert Hanley and Mary Elizabeth Oliphant Hanley, was born March 23, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas. He departed this life May 26, 2019 at his home in Dolph at the age of 65 years, 2 months, and 3 days. He was united in marriage to Susan Jane Stringer June 23, 1979 and together they raised one daughter. Ritchie spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider, and friend. Ritchie had numerous careers during his working years. He worked as a Registered Nurse, as a carpenter, he was a professional musician, a cosmetologist, he operated a recording studio and was a restaurant owner. He was an entrepreneur, he made miniature bricks and mustache cups and sold them to small gift shops around the area. He was of the Christian faith and a member of Trimble Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Susan Hanley of the home; one daughter and son-in-law: Beth and Joey Kratochvil of Pineville; one brother: Tim Hanley and his wife Patty of Seattle, Washington; one granddaughter: Elizabeth Jane Kratochvil of Pineville and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation and funeral service will be Wednesday, May 29 at Trimble Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dolph. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Mary Elizabeth Kratochvil officiating. Burial will be at Crossroads Cemetery (Wises Chapel) under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
