Rita Joann Payne Teague

Of Pineville, Arkansas

Rita Joann Payne Teague, daughter of the late James E. Payne and Cecilia Dickens Payne, was born May 23, 1957 in Henderson, Kentucky.  She departed this life September 26 at her home in Pineville at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 3 days.  She was united in marriage to Thomas William Teague in 1976 in Henderson, Kentucky and together they raised four children. Rita spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  During her working years, she was employed at Calico Rock Medical Center.

Rita is survived by:  her husband of 48 years:  Tom Teague of the home; one son:  James Teague of Dolph; two daughters:  Sheresa Angeles (Javier) of Batesville and Cecilia Taylor  (Chad) of Oxford; one brother:  Ronnie Payne of Kentucky;  two sisters:  Patsy Lamb (Larry), Maria Willingham (Darrell) all of Kentucky; eleven grandchildren:  Nathan Angeles (Sarah), Dawson Angeles, Ethan Angeles, Maresa Angeles, Remington Taylor, Reighley Taylor, Ransom Taylor, Rhaecin Taylor, Ebony Young (Austin), Kaylee Teague, Brayden Teague; five great grandchildren:  Paisley Angeles, Huntleigh Angeles, Kenzli Angeles, Bennett Young and one due in April;  and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one son:  Thomas Teague; one grandson:  James Thomas Teague; one brother:  James Lee Payne and one sister:  Theresa Cristser.

Visitation will be Monday, September 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Eddies Family Funeral Home with Steve Neal officiating.  Burial will follow at Galatia Cemetery in Norfork.
