Ricky Ray Hicks

Of Memphis, Tennessee

Ricky Ray Hicks, son of Jerry and the late Shirley Hicks, was born July 7, 1961 in Marked Tree, Arkansas.  He departed this life July 14, 2021 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 60 years and 7 days.  Ricky spent his life as a loving son, bother, husband, father, uncle, friend and grandfather.  He spent his working years in commercial construction in Memphis.  Ricky was an avid fisherman and hunter.  But most of all, he loved being a grandpa to Necci, Abigail and Victor.

Ricky is survived by his wife Tina; his two daughters:  Emily (Antonio) and Jessica; three grandchildren:  Necci, Abigail and Victor; his father:  Jerry Hicks (Mary Beth); his sister:  Sandra Fay and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  Ricky was preceded in death by his mother:  Shirley; his stepmother:  Nadine; his maternal grandparents:  Carl and Lela Grogan; his paternal grandparents:  Richard and Eleanor Hicks.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 31 at the Mount Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating.
