Rebecca Ann Davidson Cox
Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Rebecca Ann Davidson Cox, daughter of Donald Davidson and Treva Moser Davidson, was born March 3, 1957 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She departed this life October 31, 2019 in Tuscumbia, Alabama at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 28 days. Rebecca was a 1975 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School. On June 1, 1976 she was united in marriage to Charles David Cox and together they raised three children. In 1993, she graduated from Midland College as a Registered Nurse. From May 1993 to July 2016 she was a loved and respected nurse. She was the recipient of the prestigious DAISY Award. Rebecca spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana and respected nurse.

Rebecca is survived by her husband of 43 years: Charles Cox of Melbourne; three children: Rachel Vandiver and husband Corey of Anchorage, Alaska, Amanda Cox of Fort Worth, Texas and Matthew Cox of Pearland, Texas; her parents: Donald and Treva Davidson of Melbourne; one brother: Michael Davidson and wife Olivia of Birmingham, Alabama; two sisters: Donna Wright and husband Phil of Tuscumbia, Alabama and Jennifer Davidson Fite of Tuscumbia, Alabama; three grandchildren: Aidan, Riley and Sadie Vandiver all of Anchorage, Alaska; three grandpuppies: Creasy, Wally and Maisy and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by one granddaughter:  Baby Grace.

Visitation will be Monday, November 4 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Finley Creek Cemetery in Sage.
