Raquel Josette West, daughter of the late Donald West and Marita Evans West, was born April 18, 1998 in Bacliff, Texas. She departed this life June 12, 2019 at her home in Zion, Arkansas at the age of 21 years, 1 month and 25 days. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister and granddaughter. She was of the Catholic Faith.

Raquel is survived by her maternal grandmother: Mary Anne Evans of the home; two uncles: Franz Evans of the home and Thaddeus Evans of Melbourne; five brothers: William West, Allen West both of Texas, Charles West of Oxford, Alexander West of Melbourne and Jeremy West of Zion; three sisters: Jacinta Shomaker of Michigan, Christina West and Erica West of Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal grandfather: Neal Evans; five uncles: Tom Evans, Leo Evans, Allen Evans, Terrance Evans and Gerard Evans.

Funeral service was held Friday, June 14, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne with Father Gregory Drahman officiating. Burial was held at Evans Cemetery in Zion.
