Obituary

James Randall Blankenburg, Randy, was born in Panama on February 6th 1950, When Randy was just a toddler the family moved to Okinawa, Japan. It is here that he would spend the remainder of his childhood years. Randy graduated from Kubasaki Senior High School in 1968. Shortly after graduating high school Randy moved to El Paso, Tx with the rest of his family.


Randy was a tile layer by trade eventually owning and operating his own tile company called Blankenburg Tile. Randy was a free spirited, kind hearted man. The kind that would give you the shirt off his back. It was his free spirit that led him to travel to and live in several different US states. This included states such as Texas, California, and Tennessee before moving to Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is here that he would live out the remainder of his retirement years. Throughout his life Randy enjoyed the company of friends and family, fishing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys and reruns of old childhood tv shows. Randy experienced a lot throughout his life and was full of great stories of the memories he made.


Randy was laid to rest and went to be with the lord on January 8th 2018. He was proceeded in death by his parents Erma and Leon Blankenburg, and his brother Bradford Dean Blankenburg. He is survived by his brother and wife Kevin and Valerie Blankenburg, nephew Brent, and nieces Jayde and Sierra. He is also survived by his niece and husband Erica and Josh VanHoozer along with great nieces Avery, Kylee, and Kennedy, and great nephew Dane.


Randy will be laid to rest next to his parents in Pineville Cemetery. He will be loved and missed dearly.
