Ralph Wayne Ingram

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Ralph Wayne Ingram, son of the late Ray Ingram and Effie Arnold Ingram, was born April 30, 1941 in Iuka, Arkansas.  He departed this life July 25, 2024 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 5 days. Ralph was a lifelong resident of Moccasin Creek; except the four years he attended the University of Arkansas. Ralph graduated from Calico Rock High School in 1959 and headed directly to the U of A. Four years later, he graduated with a teaching degree in math and science. He took a teaching position at Mountain Home Junior High, transferring to Mountain Home High School after six years.  He spent the next thirty-eight years teaching high school math at Mountain Home High School, retiring in 2007.  In addition to being a teacher, Ralph was a farmer.  He and his sister Thelma raised black angus cattle on their family farm.  Ralph was a member of Pleasant Valley Community Church.  The same church that he attended for decades.

Ralph is survived by numerous cousins; his beloved Pleasant Valley Community Church family and many good friends and former students.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.

Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, July 27 at Pleasant Valley Community Church. Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.   Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Monte Neal and Brayden McCurley officiating.  Burial will follow at Staggs Cemetery.
