Obituary

Norman Henry Galloway, son of the late Clarence Galloway and Betsy Walker Galloway, was born April 8, 1931 in Truman, Arkansas.  He departed this life June 12, 2021 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 90 years and 17 days.  He was united in marriage to Wilma Fay Vannatter May 6, 1958 in Marked Tree, Arkansas and together they raised seven children.  Norman spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent at Hays Brothers Flooring in Calico Rock and the Stone County Road Department.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by four sons:  Gene of Kennett, Missouri and Eugene, Wayne and Glen all of Optimus; one daughter:  Darlene Sanders and husband Marty of Dolph; three sisters:  Geraldine, Sybil and Kathryn; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two daughters:  Joyce and Debbie and two grandsons:  Scott and Cody.

Visitation and graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, June 15.  Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock, Arkansas.  Graveside funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon at Optimus Cemetery in Optimus, Arkansas with Marty Sanders officiating.

Pallbearers:  Ben, Tony, Michael, Troy, Joe and Timothy.

Honorary Pallbearer:  Wesley.
