Norma Jean Brown Killian

of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Norma Jean Brown Killian, daughter of the late Leonard Martin Brown and Mary Eve Moody Brown, was born July 6, 1943 in Crossroads, Arkansas.  She departed this life May 9, 2026 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 82.  Norma was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Killian October 9, 1964 and together they raised two children.  She attended college and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  Most of her working years were spent working as Director of Nursing at White River Health Care, also serving as a registered nurse at both, Home Health and Hospice.  She retired from White River Healthcare, after 40 years of employment. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Norma is survived by two children:  Jeannie Killian and Marty Killian both of Calico Rock; two sisters:  Shirley Killian Leach of Mountain Home; Margaret Banning of Melbourne; three grandchildren:  Olivia Simpson, James Simpson III, and Andrew Killian; two dear friends:  Nancy Anderson and Ann Jones both of Calico Rock; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister:  Carolyn Galloway and one brother-in-law:  Benny Banning.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 13 from 5-7 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Graveside funeral service will be Thursday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Wises Chapel/Crossroads Cemetery in Pineville with Darrell Gosser officiating.
