Nathaniel Wayne Geiger
Of Melbourne, Arkansas
Nathaniel Wayne Geiger, son of the late William "Dub" Geiger and Eulala Carlisle Geiger, was born February 9, 1941 in Canal Point, Florida. He departed this life May 16, 2021 in Franklin, Arkansas at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 7 days. Wayne proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He went on to serve six additional in the Army Reserves. Wayne was united in marriage to Amy Aguirre and together they raised three daughters. Wayne spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent as an architectural sheet metal worker for over twenty-five years. More recently, he worked with the late Gene Jones designing gazebos. He was of the Baptist faith.
Wayne is survived by his wife: Amy Geiger of the home; three daughters: Amy McMullen of Williston, Florida, Karen Tate and husband Donnie of Gid and Brenda Damico and husband Scott of Danville, Kentucky; six grandchildren: Justin Geiger, Thomas Damico, Lynette Cohoon, Matthew Geiger, Antony Damico, Ashley Pike, Charles Pike and Alton Roberson; six great grandchildren: Mylah Geiger, Laila Geiger, Abigail Cohoon, Corah Geiger, Wayne Cohoon and Luana Geiger and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Wilbur Geiger, Eugene Geiger, Alfred Geiger and one sister: Thelma Geiger.
Visitation and funeral service will be Friday, May 21 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation: 1 -2 p.m. Funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. with Jeff Eddy officiating. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Ronnie Davis, Sanders Lee Wyatt, Chris Dearmond, Braden Tate, Jim Cooper, Pidge Moser.
