Nancy Miller Grasse, 66, of Calico Rock, Arkansas, passed away on July 20, 2024. Born on April 19, 1958, she was a cherished member of the community and a beacon of kindness and support.
Nancy dedicated her professional life to healthcare, working in various medical clinics across Arkansas, Colorado, and Florida. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond her career into her personal passions. She was profoundly involved in animal rescue, specifically focusing on providing care and love for unloved homeless dogs.
Educated locally at Calico Rock Elementary School and Calico Rock High School, Nancy furthered her studies at Hesston College in Hesston, Kansas. Her love for learning and helping others was evident through her academic and career choices.
A devout member of the Calico Rock Mennonite Fellowship, Nancy's faith played a significant role in her life, guiding her through her endeavors and inspiring her community involvement.
Nancy is survived by her son, Shawn Anthony Nickel (Mary), and two grandsons, Aiden and Oliver of Calico Rock, AR; her brother, John Philip Grasse, (Fely) of Midsayap,
Philippines, and their children; her sister, Peggy Grasse Mitchell, (Kenneth) of Calico Rock, AR; and her best friend Sherry Laurie of Calico Rock, AR. She also leaves behind a vast network of cousins and friends from around the world. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, John Landis Grasse and Mary Margaret Miller Grasse, her favorite Uncle A.M. Grasse, M.D., and Aunt Gladys Grasse, and her grandparents.
Memorial services for Nancy will be announced at a later date. Eddies Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock, Arkansas, is assisting the family during this time. Nancy's legacy of kindness, compassion, and community service will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
