Katherine Nancy Guthrie Gillihan
of Batesville, Arkansas
Katherine Nancy Guthrie Gillihan, daughter of the late Johnny Jefferson Guthrie and Bessie Cooper Guthrie, was born February 3, 1952 in Sacramento, California. She departed this life April 9, 2026 at her home in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 74. She was united in marriage to Larry Don Gillihan September 26, 1970 in Batesville, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. Nancy spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, homemaker, entrepreneur and friend. She was best known for owning and operating My Bestest Friend Doll Shop and Pretty Woman Clothing in Batesville. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Batesville.
Nancy is survived by two children: Keith Gillihan and wife Cindy and Jennifer Gillihan all of Batesville; two brothers: Walter "Wally" Guthrie and wife Becky of Branson, Missouri and Fred and Marcia Woods of Gresham, Oregon; one sister: Juanice Brewer and husband Dave of Batesville; four grandchildren: Luke Gillihan, Haley Gillihan, Miguel Gillihan, Miley Gillihan; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Wayne Byler and Ted Guthrie; one sister: Linda Guthrie Smith; three nephews and one niece: Mark Gillihan, Garrett Smith, Brad Brewer and Amy Fairchild.
Visitation and graveside funeral service will be held Monday, April 13, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Graveside funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Knob Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Chris Gillihan, Jake Gillihan, Michael Gillihan, Jason Gillihan, Luke Gillihan, Dallas Gillihan.
