Micki Carmon Estes Sanders

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Micki Carmon Estes Sanders, daughter of Rick Estes and Mary Craig Estes, was born November 15, 1978 in Salem, Arkansas.  She departed this life August 4, 2021 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 42 years, 8 months and 20 days. She was a 1997 graduate of Calico Rock High School.  After high school, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Central Arkansas.  She went on to get a Masters Degree in Student Services from Arkansas Tech in Russellville.  She worked at Ozarka College in the financial aid department for five years.  She was united in marriage to Bruce Sanders May 24, 2013 and together they made their life in Calico Rock. She was of the Baptist faith and proudly accepted Jesus at nineteen years old.   She had an infectious laugh and enjoyed shopping, animals, and spending time with her family.

Micki is survived by her husband of eight years:  Bruce Sanders of the home; her mother:  Mary Estes of Calico Rock; her father:  Rick Estes of Bandmill; one daughter:  Abby Sanders and Brandon Goodnight of Calico Rock; one sister: Cherrie Estes of Calico Rock; one grandson:  Layton Dewayne Goodnight of Calico Rock; one brother:  Craig Estes and wife Amanda of Jonesboro; two nephews:  Byler and Carpenter Estes of Jonesboro;  two aunts:  Geneva Smith of Melbourne and Bunny Price of Calico Rock; two uncles:   Gary McClellan of Mountain Home and Paul Craig of Mountain Home and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her beloved Aunt Paula McClellan; her precious dog:  Sadie Bug and several aunts, uncles, friends and other family members.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Funeral service will be Monday August 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Eric Sanders, Jonathan Gibson, Brandon Goodnight, Jerred King, Jessie Whiteaker, Aaron Browning and Chad McGowan.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Calico Rock High School Class of 1997.
