Michael Bruce Thompson

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Michael Bruce Thompson, son of the late Patrick Eugene Thompson, Sr. and Mary Beatrice Mayfield Thompson, was born October 30, 1954 in El Paso, Texas.  He departed this life February 26, 2025 in Baxter, County at the age of 70 years. He was united in marriage to Vicki Goodson March 19, 1976 and together they raised two children.  Michael spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent at Arkansas Dept. of Corrections as a Sgt., retiring after many years of employment.  He was of the Catholic faith.

Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years:  Vicki Thompson of the home; two daughters:  Feather Thompson and Mandi Thompson both of Calico Rock; one brother:  Patrick Thompson, Jr. of Calico Rock; nine grandchildren:  Evan Thompson, Creed Young, Madilin Phillips (Jaron), Memphis Young, Hattie Hohn (Aaron), Cailin Dobson (Sunny), Zoey Thompson, Gintri Thompson, Tiffany Young Smith; four great grandchildren:  Jamin Phillips, Jenson Phillips, Magnolia Phillips, Honeybee Hohn and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister and one daughter: Ami Thompson.

Graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
