Matthew Travis Hoskinds

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Matthew Travis Hoskinds, son of Timothy Neal Hoskinds and Vicki Lynn Kincaide, was born October 13, 1986 in Batesville, Arkansas.  He departed this life May 7, 2021 at his home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 34 years, 6 months and 24 days.  Matt was an excellent student; he was the valedictorian of the 2005 graduating class of Melbourne High School.   He was united in marriage to Amanda Nichole Garrett.  Matthew spent his life as a loving son, brother, nephew, husband, father and friend.  Matt enjoyed cooking and worked at many restaurants over the years.  He was a good friend to many and whenever he saw you, he always had a big smile and hug to give.

He is survived by his wife:  Amanda Garrett Hoskinds of the home; one son: Caleb Hoskinds of Melbourne; one stepdaughter:  Kylee Hope Garrett of Tennessee; his father:  Tim Hoskinds of Melbourne; his brother:  Tanner Hoskinds and wife Whitney of Melbourne and their daughter: Mila Hoskinds; step brother:   Marcus Alvarado and wife Hannah of Melbourne; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his daughter:  Adalee Hoskinds.

Visitation and funeral service will be Wednesday, May 12 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.   Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rick Burke officiating.  Burial will be at Melbourne Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Marcus Alvarado, Andrew Hoskinds, Jason McKenzie, John Purtle, John Paul Baker, Toby Shelton.
