Matthew David Bruyette

Of Violet Hill, Arkansas

Mattthew David Bruyette was born on September 27, 1960 in Hartford, Connecticut, to Louis John Bruyette and Shirley Ethel Mortenson.   His mom soon divorced and remarried Frank Bruyette, he raised Matt and his sisters and brothers from a small age.  Matt enjoyed many things, especially if it had a motor and wheels, the faster it went, the better he liked it.   He also loved to hunt and fish.  Fishing always brought back good memories of him and his brother fishing together.  You can't forget how much he loved taking rides in the evening, with his wife on their buggy.  They would often be gone for hours.

Matt was a small engine Mechanic his entire life.  His mom often joked, he was born with a wrench in his hand.  He was very creative, he was building a mower/wheelbarrow, crazy to us but not to him. He had recently retired from Sharp County Outdoors, where he had worked for the last few years.

Matt had stated he was excited for the next chapter in his new life, being still on his honeymoon and retired.

Matt is survived by his wife:  Sarah Bruyette of the home; one son:  Matt Bruyette, Jr, of Oklahoma; four grandchildren:  Lizzy Bruyette, Lexi Bruyette, Matthew Bruyette, Jessalynn Bruyette; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings:  Phillip Bruyette, Steven Bruyette, Crystal Boyd, Dorothy Bruyette Butts, Shirley Bruyette Pearson and a niece:  Sandy Woods.

His family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.
