Mary Eller Ruminer Hames

Of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas

Mary Eller Ruminer Hames, daughter of the late Richard Cleo Ruminer and Addie Crook Ruminer, was born March 27, 1934 in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas.  She departed this life May 7, 2021 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 10 days.  She was united in marriage to Conway A. Hames July 17, 1951 and together they raised four children.  Mary spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  She was an excellent cook and was known for making cakes.  She enjoyed making and selling crafts.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mount Pleasant Southern Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons:  Lenord Hames and wife Carolyn of Melbourne and Lance Hames and wife Beth of Mountain View; one daughter:  Vickie Medlock and husband Mike of Nelsonville; six grandchildren:  Ken Medlock (Shelly), Chris Blankenship, Camron Hames (Taryn), Ashley Miller (Andy), Carlie Qualls (Caleb), Garrett Hames (Hillary); seven great grandchildren; two nieces: Brenda Bell of Ft. Smith and Linda Mickle of Joliet, Montana; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter Shelia Stanek; three siblings:  Lenora Walker, William Ruminer and David Ruminer and one great granddaughter:  Sadie Medlock.

Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, May 10 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m.   Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Andy Miller, Camron Hames, Caleb Qualls, Ken Medlock, Blake Johnson and Joe Johnson.
