of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Mary Jo Boyd, daughter of the late Melvin and Rena Langston Ingram, was born in November 15, 1940 in Vilonia, Arkansas. In later years, Alfred Burgess became her father. She departed this life August 19, 2026 at her home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 85. Mary was a 1960 graduate of Calico Rock High School. She was united in marriage to Walter Boyd in September 1961 and to this union one son was born. Mary Jo spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. After attending business school, she opened Boyd’s Tax Service, where she spent many years preparing tax returns. She was a faithful Christian to the Lord and her community. Her hobbies included walking, tax preparation and seeing her great grandsons.

Mary Jo is survived by one son: Kirk Boyd and wife Patty of Calico Rock; granddaughter: Kara Boyd Brown and husband Joe and two great grandsons: Boyd Brown and Benjamin Brown all of Salem and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step father; her siblings: Nadine, Monroe and Doyle Ingram.

Visitation and funeral service will be Friday, August 21 at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will begin at 11:30. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Leon Morehead and Kevin Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Mark Ingram, Austin Ingram, Andrew Ingram, Timothy Ingram, Darrell Killian, James Bearden.

Honorary Pallbearers: 1960 graduating class of Calico Rock High School.
