Aug 6, 1936 — Mar 24, 2026
Martha Ann Stevens Seay
Of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Martha Ann Seay, age 89, passed away peacefully March 24, 2026. She was born August 6, 1936, and lived a full meaningful life centered around family, hard work, and simple joys.
Martha was united in marriage to Maurice Seay, and to that union two sons were born. She was preceded in death by Maurice Seay; her parents: Jewell and Ruby Stevens; her siblings, John Stevens, Perry Stevens, Margaret Stevens, and James Stevens; and her beloved grandson: Mason Seay.
She leaves behind her loving family who will cherish her memory always: her sons, Mike Seay (wife Sherri) and Mark Seay (wife Lynn); her grandchildren, Mika Seay, Casey Seay (girlfriend Haley Simons) and Markie Christopher (husband Aaron); and her great grandchildren, Preston Seay (Haley Perkins), Torrance Douglas, Malcolm Douglas, Rowan Loosey, Lucia Christopher, Holden Christopher, Caven Christopher, and Townes Seay. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who brought her great joy.
Martha was known for her incredible work ethic and determination. She was the proud owner of Martha's Beauty Den and also worked at McDonnell Douglas and the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Even after retirement Martha remained active and engaged, proudly taking on the role of the "sheriff" of her block-keeping a watchful and caring eye on her neighborhood.
Her greatest love was her family. Martha found immense joy in attending and supporting her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews in all their activities. She never missed a chance to cheer them on and be present in their lives.
She also found peace and happiness in the simple things-loving her trees, watching birds, and spending time outdoors. Raking leaves and mowing her yard were not chores to Martha, but moments of relaxation and pride.
Martha was a faithful member of the Calico Rock Church of Christ, where her faith was an important part of her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
Honorary pallbearers: Jimmy Stevens, Brian Stevens, Joe Bill Dawson, Mitch Huskey, Heath Stevens, Lance Whiteaker and Jessie Whiteaker.
Martha Ann Seay will be remembered for her strength, her dedication, her quick wit, and most of all, her deep and abiding love for her family. Her legacy lives on in each of them.
Memorial service will be held Friday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Church of Christ with Dr. Robert Lane and Jessie Whiteaker officiating.
