Margaret Elizabeth Wamock (Maggie), age 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, surrounded by friends and family at her home at the Green House Cottages of Belle Meade in Paragould, Arkansas.
Maggie was born on May 18, 1925 in Melbourne, Arkansas to GH and Annie Miller. She was a sister to eleven siblings, and was a graduate of Melbourne High School. Employed by General Electric in Jonesboro, Arkansas, she retired after 30 years of service.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro for 60 years, and she served as
Sunday
School Secretary for 36 of those years as well as a volunteer for the church's clothing and food pantry. She was a model sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
Maggie was preceded in death by MV Wamock, her husband of 71 years, 7 brothers (Lowell, Robert, JC, Thomas, Charles, GH Junior, and John) and 4 sisters (Zeta, Naomi, and two stillborn)
She is survived by two sons, Melvin Wamack (Sandra) and Philip Wamock, seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of other friends, family, and acquantances whose lives she touched deeply through her honesty, her love of the Lord, and her servant's heart.
Visitation will be
Friday, June 1 from 1-2 pm
at Eddie's Funeral Home in Melbourne, Arkansas with a graveside service to follow at Gray Cemetery in Bonetown, Arkansas.
